Ingredients
- 8 good-quality pork sausages
- 3 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 300ml beef stock
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp gravy granules
- 1 tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper
- Mashed potato, to serve
Method
- Brown the sausages briefly in a pan.
- Place the sliced onions in the slow cooker.
- Sit the sausages on top.
- Mix the stock, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, gravy granules, and thyme. Pour over.
- Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours. The onions will caramelise beautifully.
- Season and serve with creamy mashed potato.
Tips
The longer the onions cook, the sweeter they get. This gravy is genuinely restaurant quality.
