Ingredients
- 8 pork sausages
- 1 onion, sliced
- 400g tin baked beans
- 400g tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper
Method
- If you have time, brown the sausages in a frying pan for a few minutes — this adds colour and flavour.
- Place all ingredients in the slow cooker and stir gently.
- Cook on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours.
- Serve with mashed potato, crusty bread, or jacket potatoes.
Tips
Use good-quality sausages with a high meat content — they hold together much better. Richmond or your butcher’s own are great.
