Ingredients
- 8 pork sausages
- 3 onions, sliced into rings
- 4 potatoes, thickly sliced
- 1 beef stock cube dissolved in 300ml water
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Knob of butter
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Brown the sausages in a hot pan.
- Layer the potato slices in the slow cooker.
- Add the onions, then place the sausages on top.
- Mix the stock, Worcestershire sauce, sage, and thyme. Pour over.
- Dot with butter.
- Cook on Low for 6-8 hours.
- The potatoes will be soft and the onions will have become a rich gravy.
Tips
The onions cook down into a gorgeous dark gravy around the sausages. Serve with greens or peas on the side.
