Creamy, cheesy, and made entirely in the slow cooker. No boiling pasta separately — everything goes in one pot.

Ingredients

  • 350g macaroni (uncooked)
  • 400ml whole milk
  • 250ml water
  • 200g mature Cheddar, grated
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 30g butter
  • 1 tsp English mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Grease the slow cooker insert with a little butter.
  2. Add the uncooked macaroni, milk, water, butter, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Cook on Low for 2-3 hours, stirring halfway if possible.
  5. Stir in the grated Cheddar and cream cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Serve immediately — it thickens as it sits.

Tips

Keep an eye on this one — overcooking will make the pasta too soft. It’s ready when the pasta is tender and the sauce is creamy.
